3Music Awards will see the organization of its third edition in March this year.

However, many of the commentary about the awards prior to the organization of this year’s edition leaves one to wonder the wrong thing the organizers have done this year to warrant all the backlash.

For instance, on Hitz FM’s ‘Daybreak’ entertainment review show on February 5, 2020, entertainment critic and artist manager, Emmanuel Barnes aka Mr. Logic was relentless in his suggestion that the board is not fit to do the work they have been tasked to do.

His argument on the show monitored by zionfelix.net was simply that they lacked a musician on the board.

After the many commentaries, including the one, sighted above, Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the CEO of the awards scheme has finally spoken.

In a Facebook post, Sadiq stated that anybody who suggests that the board is not fit for purpose is making a very unfair assessment.

According to him, their qualities and their contributions to the development of the music industry and talents, in general, has been immense over the years.

Sadiq also in the lengthy post set aside the board chairman of the scheme, James Korsah-Brown and recounted all the great things he has done in the industry, especially for Africa’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie as a reason why people should not downgrade the board.
