Just days after his widely celebrated enstoolment, Mikki Osei Berko now finds himself at the centre of a brewing chieftaincy standoff in Adamorobe.
The actor, known to many as Master Richard or Dada Boat, was enstooled as Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II, however what should have been a smooth transition into traditional leadership has quickly turned into a contested affair.

Some trouble began to surface when a rival faction emerged to challenge his legitimacy. At the centre of the controversy is Douglas Amoako Danquah, who is alleged to have planned a separate enstoolment ceremony slated for Monday May 4, 2026.
The move has been strongly condemned by the elders of Adamorobe, who insist that such an action is not only unnecessary but also unlawful.
According to reports and an alleged court document circulating online, the elders maintain that there is already a recognised occupant of the stool. In their firm position, that occupant is Mikki Osei Berko.
They argue that any attempt to install another chief constitutes a direct breach of peace and a violation of an existing restraining order secured through the Ghana Police Service.
It should also be noted that the legitimacy of the actor has been reportedly endorsed by Nana Djan Kwasi I, the Aburihene.
