Popular Ghanaian actor and comedian Dr. Likee, known in private life as Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, has been left overwhelmed with gratitude after receiving a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry from EBA Motors following his successful return from the United Kingdom.
The gesture comes after reports emerged that the celebrated entertainer sold his personal vehicles to help finance his historic “Dr. Likee Live – A Night of Comedy, Music & Stage Play” concert at the Indigo at The O2 in London.
The event, which drew a large audience and featured several Ghanaian stars, has been hailed as one of the biggest achievements by a Ghanaian comedian on the international stage.
According to earlier revelations made by actor Papa Kumasi and Dr. Likee himself, he made enormous sacrifices to ensure the success of the show, including seling his car to invest heavily in the production, including the cost of transporting his crew and supporting cast members to the UK.
Well, moved by his act, EBA Motors decided to reward him with a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry Sports. Presenting the vehicle, the company’s spokesperson explained that Dr. Likee’s revelation that he had sold his cars to fund the show inspired them to step in and support him.
According to the her, her bosses said that anyone who is putting Ghana on the global map through hard work and sacrifice deserves to be celebrated.
Upon receiving the surprise gift, Dr. Likee could not hide his emotions as he expressed profound appreciation to EBA Motors for the gesture. The actor revealed that he was completely shocked by the presentation and never expected such generosity from the company.
Dr. Likee thanked the management of EBA Motors wholeheartedly for the brand-new vehicle, describing the gesture as a blessing and a source of encouragement. He acknowledged that the gift had touched him deeply and showed that people were paying attention to the sacrifices he had made for his career and for Ghana’s entertainment industry.
The comedian further pledged his support to the company, stating that from the moment he received the vehicle, anything that concerns EBa Motors also concerns him.
