Ghanaian Gospel musician, Nhyira Betty has lamented the amount being paid to her as royalties from GHAMRO.
After releasing five albums and having two hit songs, Betty revealed in a post sighted by Zionfelix.net that the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) sent GHS 153 to her.
She explained that the first royalty sent to her was GHS 400 but it has now been reduced.
The Gospel musician argued that her songs are doing well and she does not understand why she is being treated like that.
Nhyira Betty asked how much up-and-coming musicians will earn if she is being given this paltry amount after 17 years in the music industry.
She revealed how musicians in South Africa are enjoying, after visiting the country recently.
Betty called for the errors regarding royalties’ distribution in Ghana to be fixed.
