In the early hours of today, September 28, 2021, news broke that legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician, Nana Ampadu had died at age 76.

The news broke the hearts of many Ghanaians who have enjoyed the evergreen songs he has written and released over the years.

As people continue to mourn him, veteran Highlife singer and dancer, Akosua Agyapong has sadly revealed how a particular doctor contributed to the unfortunate demise of Nana Ampadu.

Speaking in an interview with Adom TV reporters when they caught up with her at the house of Nana Ampadu after his demise, Akosua Agyapong said that the hospital they first rushed Nana Ampadu, which is a hospital at Achimota, for medical care gave the excuse that the doctor on duty was asleep.

They later had to rush him to a hospital at Legon, where he got the needed medical care but sadly, they could not save his life because a lot of time had been wasted.

Akosua Agyapong further shared her fondest memories of the music legend and urged colleagues to emulate his writing style because most of his songs are timeless.
