The writer is Osei Chris Kofi. I have three strong passions in life — football, blogging and movies — in that order. I love spending time with friends talking about the important things in life and hate nothing more than ‘authority’ and hypocrisy. My personal believe in life is that once an individual sets his/her mind to achieve something, it is totally possible. And oh!, I am a strong Lannister, because I always pay my debt. The use of marijuana or cannabis, popularly known as wee or the devil’s tobacco is against the laws of the country and any person caught in contact with it is dealt with in the court of law.

However, over the past few years, there has been a growing advocacy for a national discourse on the usefulness and possible legalization of the plant from top media personalities like Kwame Sefa Kayi of Peace FM and Kwesi Pratt Of the Insight Newspaper.

One staunch advocate for the legalization of the banned substance over the years has been Blakk Rasta, who is currently the host of TaxiDriver Show on Zylofon FM. In an interview with Akwesi Aboagye on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review Show,’ monitored by zionfelix.net, the outspoken media personality stated that marijuana will be legalized. He added that he came to this conclusion because the like of Kofi Annan(may he rest in peace) Kwame Sefa Kayi and Kwesi Pratt have all spoken about it.

The reggae musician also stated he has personally never smoked or took in any alcohol in his life and will not even be able to identify the scent of a cigarette but he believes, it is the way to go, in order to generate resources for the country.

Blakk Rasta also suggested that the surest way to go about this easily is to build control state farms. And instead of the current President Akuffo-Addo government focusing their energies on one district one factory, they should introduce one district one large state farm. Then the government will select a few policemen and soldiers to man the place for six months after which it will be cultivated and exported for all the money.
