Ghanaian music star, Black Sherif, is being rumoured as one of the music icons who will mount the stage and thrill music lovers and patrons at the 2023 Coachella.

If this information turns out to be true, it will certainly mark a major milestone for the sensational artist, who has been making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of afrobeat and hip hop.

The annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert, will take center stage as usual from Friday, April 14, to Sunday, April 23, 2023, and reports and rumors about its music performers are already making the rounds on the internet.

Coachella, which has previously featured African artists on their stage, gained more popularity in the African space in 2019 after Nigeria’s Burna Boy mounted the stage despite the earlier controversies about how his name was written on the flyer.

Apart from Ghana’s Black Sherif, in the list that is circulating online, Nigerian stars like Burna Boy, Tems, and Asake, are also rumoured to be billed to perform at the festival.

The list also saw heavyweights like Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, and Frank Ocean as headliners of the festival’s three days of musical performances.

Black Sherif, whose real name is Sherif Abdul Wahab, first gained popularity with his hit single “Money” in 2018. Since then, he has released several successful tracks and performed at various music festivals around the world.
