America- born Ghanaian Afro dancehall musician, Francine Nyanko Koffie, popularly called Fantana, has come under some social media backlash in the last 24 hours following the premiere of season 2 of Netflix’s popular African reality television series, Young, Famous & African.

Some social media users in Ghana have been attacking her for stating that she is the biggest Female Dancehall artiste in Ghana in her opening statement on the TV show.

In the opinion of many of the people attacking her, the ‘Girls Hate On Girls’ crooner does not qualify to make that claim because she is certainly not the biggest female dancehall artiste in Ghana.

Amid the backlash and attacks on her, popular Ghanaian disk jockey, DJ Mensah has taken to social media to throw his weight behind her.

In a tweet he made, Sarkodie’s personal DJ advised Fantana not to allow the negativity on social media to bring her down.

He added that he was so proud of her for embarking on this journey and further encouraged her to keep her focus because she has got some Ghanaians like himself cheering her on.

‘Hey @iamfantana , don’t let the negativity bring you down! I’m incredibly proud of you for embarking on this exciting new endeavor. Keep your focus, stay determined, and let your success speak for itself. You’ve got a fan cheering you on! 💪 #youngrich&famous #Netflix,’ DJ Mensah’s full tweet reads.
