Seasoned media personality, Daniel Kofi Amoateng, popularly called Quophi Okyeame, has announced he will be leaving Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) at the end of the month of May 2023.

The host of Angel FM’s afternoon drivetime show made the announcement during an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM on Friday, May 19, 2023.

According to him, the decision to leave is because his contract with the media company will come to an end on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, but he has decided not to renew the contract.

When asked if anything was pushing him out of the company, Quophi Okyeame gave an emphatic no response.

When he was asked if he was leaving with his wife, Stacy Amoateng, who is the executive director of the media network, the award-winning radio presenter stated that he was not going to speak for his wife because they have not had a discussion about it.

When Blakk Rasta further pushed and asked Quophi Okyeame if there was anything that was going to change his mind and get him to stay at Angel FM, the latter responded in the negative and revealed that he wanted to move on because a lot of lessons has been learned at Angel FM.

Quophi Okyeame joined ABN in June 2020, to replace DJ Willie and Papa Shamo as the host of Angel FM’s drive-time show.
