According to reports coming in from Nigeria this morning, famous Nollywood actor Femi Ogunrombi, popularly known as Baba Ajasco, is dead.

Per a report sighted on punchng.com, one theater practitioner called Husseini Shaibu announced the sad news.

He reportedly wrote: “I have just been reliably informed that the ethnomusicologist, former Music Instructor with #NATIONALTROUPE and one time stand in for the ‘Papa Ajasco’ character on the popular #waleadenugaprod comic series ‘Papa Ajasco’ Mr. Femi Ogunrombi is dead,” on his Twitter page.

It’s currently unclear what may have caused the death of the veteran Nigerian actor. The late Papa Ajasco is widely known for his role in the Wale Adenuga comedy series that featured Mama Ajasco, Pa James, Miss Pepeye, Boy Alinco, among others.

The late Papa Ajasco took over the lead character when the former Character Abiodun Ayoyinka pulled out of the show.
