On Saturday, January 14, 2023, the final funeral rite for the mother of popular Kumawood actor, Fumeya, who is well known as Shifo was performed.
Shifo’s mother, Madam Elizabeth Poku, was laid in state at her residence at Buokrom Estate C81 in Kumasi.

Later, the burial service took place at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Buokrom, and finally, the family came to sit at the deceased’s residence for other rites to be performed.
During the final sitting, a lot of Kumawood stars who have worked with Shifo came around to sympathize with him.
From the videos available to zionfelix.net, the likes of Kwaku Manu, Louisa Adinkra (the recently enstooled queen mother of the Dormaa area), Papa Kumasi, Quaappiah, Ama Tundra, and many others were there to mourn with him.
It is expected that a thanksgiving service will come off at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Buokrom, today, January 15, 2023.
