Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has finally opened up about why she has no plans to have another child following the birth of her first daughter, Island Frimpong, with rapper Medikal.

The actress made the revelation during a recent TikTok live session, where she shared some views on parenthood, family planning, and the importance of giving children the very best life possible.

According to Fella, she has never been interested in having many children, although she was quick to clarify that she has nothing against people who choose to have larger families.

Fella said her decision is driven by her desire to focus all her attention and resources on her daughter, Island, whom she welcomed with Medikal in September 2020.

Since her birth, the actress has repeatedly described Island as her greatest blessing, often sharing beautiful moments that showcase the close bond they share.

Explaining further, Fella said she wants to be in a position where she can provide every luxury her daughter desires without hesitation.

She revealed that if Island ever expresses a desire to travel on a first-class flight, she wants to be financially capable of making that happen immediately.

According to the actress, she believes every child deserves the best opportunities in life, and she would rather concentrate her resources on one child than spread them across many.

The actress also shared some memories from her own childhood, making an emotional confession about her relationship with her father.

Fella disclosed that one of the reasons she struggled to like her father while growing up was because he failed to adequately take care of her. She noted that the inability of some parents to properly provide for and support their children can have lasting emotional effects, a reality she experienced firsthand.

Despite opening up about her painful childhood experiences, Fella had kind words for her ex-partner, Medikal.

Although the two have gone their separate ways, she praised the award-winning rapper for being an amazing father to their daughter. According to her, Medikal has continued to play an active role in Island’s life, and she respects him greatly for prioritising his responsibilities as a parent despite the end of their relationship.
