Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty Adorye has revealed what’s holding gospel musicians back from releasing songs often.

Speaking in an interview with Dr Can on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra which was monitored by zionfelix.net, the ‘Adom’ composer said the support for gospel musicians in the country is not enough.

She lamented that the support gospel musicians receive cannot match that of secular musicians.

Empress Gifty divulged gospel musicians need about Gh100, 000 before they can promote their songs.

The phenomenon of raising a huge amount for promotions according to her cripples these musicians from releasing songs often.

She indicated that most gospel musicians have to wait for almost two (2) years or even more before they can come out with new songs.

The sensational gospel musician was candid on how some new crop of DJs and presenters in the country worry gospel musicians for payola.

She disclosed putting her phone on flight mode some time ago due to persistent calls from some presenters who were eager to get payola from her.
