Veteran Ghanaian music producer, Emmanuel Mallet, well known as Zapp Mallet, has opened up on why he is into music.

Speaking in an interview with Blakk Kobby on 3FM’s ‘Reggae Vibes’, the revered sound engineer disclosed how passion drives him to do what he does.

He emphasized that he is not the industry because of fame, money or win awards.

According to him, his focus is not on making hit songs that will earn him accolades—but he is doing it because of love and passion for music.

Through his passion, Zapp has won some awards—and it appears that was a bonus for him.

“Every song can be a hit but not every hit can be a song,” he said.

Zapp Mallet explained that everybody can just make a song and promote it on social media but not all of these social media hits can be songs.
