Following Black Stars’ poor performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Naa Ashorkor has called on Ghanaians and authorities to shift their focus.

The Ghanaian media personality said it is time for the female teams to be given more support.

Looking at the good performance of the Black Princesses and Black Queens, Naa said they deserve to be given the needed support and funding.

“It’s time to focus on the female teams. The Black Princesses have qualified for the U20 women’s World Cup. Last year the Black Queens won all their games except one. Give them the funding they need, give them the support,” she wrote on Twitter (X).

Her post comes after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the next stage of AFCON 2023—following a 2-2 draw with Mozambique on Monday, January 22, 2024.

A lot of Ghanaians are disappointed with the performance showcased by the Black Stars.
