Meek Mill has come out to finally provide some clarification as to how he was able to shoot a freestyle video at Ghana’s Jubilee House.

The American rapper was heavily criticized by Ghanaian social media users after he dropped the 46 seconds video on his Instagram reels on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

In the heat of the social media backlash, Meek Mill decided to take down the video and offer an unqualified apology to Ghanaians and the presidency for sharing the video online, even though he did not mean to be disrespectful.

Despite his apology, a lot of Ghanaians still wanted to know whether he was given permission to shoot the video in the first place.

Well, in a tweet he shared as a response to another tweep, Meek Mill indicated that the staff at Jubilee House may not have realized that he and his crew intended to do a video footage when they gave him the go-ahead to shoot.

He also took full responsibility for the mishap and stressed that it was not intentional.

“I don’t think they knew it was video footage when we asked to shoot it’s a small camera and one kid … in America we didn’t know this existed and was excited to show because they don’t show Ghana on our media much! So I’ll take responsibility for my mistake! Not intentional” he wrote.
