Ghanaian actor, Clement Bonney, well known as Mr Beautiful, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) performed better than the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with regards to the creative art sector when they were in power.

According to him, his assertion is factual that the Ex-President John Dramani Mahama administration was up to the task for the art sector in Ghana.

“This is not about Mr Beautiful and his love for Mahama, but it is glaring that Mahama and the NDC administration performed better for the arts than the NPP has done in the last four years,” he said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

Mr Beautiful claimed Ex-President Mahama has been supporting some aged industry players even after he was voted out of office.

Some of the names he mentioned were, CK Mann, Super OD, Ewurama Badu, Bob Okala, Ataa Mensah, Paa George and Obuoba J.A Adofo and Maame Dokono.

“You can find out from Maame Dokono. Mahama made donations to her last week. I’m not just talking but providing evidence as well,” he stated.

He, therefore, disclosed his readiness to campaign for the National Democratic Congress and Ex-President John Mahama in the forthcoming 2020 elections.

“Many people think that because I have been silent and off the public scene for some time, I am abandoning Mahama and the NDC this time around, but that’s not it all. I am ever ready to battle with my sweat and blood,” said Mr Beautiful.
