Sadiq Abudulai Abu, founder of the 3Music Awards has revealed that the next edition of the 3Music Awards, which will come off next year (2019) will be a bigger and better edition of the awards of this year.

The maiden edition of the awards came off in March this year at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Centre and one will just have to admit that awards was a huge success despite the few challenges that were associated with the show. The organisers of the 3Music Awards have in an online report sighted by zionfelix.net on myjoyonline.com hinted that plans are far advanced for next year’s event.

 The organizers of 3Music awards say they will use the lessons from the maiden edition to hold a bigger event next year. They are promising off the roof performances this year with the lineup of acts already in the works. 3Music has hinted that the 2019 edition of the awards will be launched in November 2018.

The first edition was held on March 24, 2018, and it saw late dancehall musician, Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, popularly known as Ebony Reigns, grab her first posthumous award. Ebony, who was laid to rest same day at the Osu Cemetery, was awarded the ‘Female Act of the Year’ after beating Becca, Joyce Blessing, Adina, MzVee and Sista Afia. Shatta Wale was also adjudged ‘Male Act of the Year’ while his smash hit single ‘Ayoo’ received the ‘Song of the Year’. Patapaa’s smash hit single ‘Once Corner’ won ‘Viral Song of the Year’ at the event.
