The final day of the 2022 Afro Nation has been in the trend after the event was reportedly forced to come to an early close.
A lot of commentary sighted on social media suggests that the organisers of music festival which came off at the Black Stars Square in Accra brought the show to an end earlier than was expected.
Per the commentary online, the host of the 2022 edition, Adesope Olajide aka Shopsydoo, announced to the patrons who had gathered to have fun that the organizers had to end the show because of reasons beyond their control.
It has also been sighted online that the organizers indicated that the crowd at the main entrance had become too huge to control, for which reason they had to end the show mid-way.
We gather the announcement was made at a time the reveller were waiting for Nigerian music stars Rema and Asake to mount the stage after French-Congolese singer Dadju’s had performed.
Well, while the patrons will not be too happy about how things turned out, we are reliably informed that there were performances by Black Sherif, Camidoh and Stonebwoy, a few other acts.
BREAKING🚨🇬🇭: Performances and playing of music have been halted for close to 20minutes as a result of the overwhelming numbers outside the entry points of AfroNation🇬🇭2022.— Ölele | Deep Throat Sauce🦅🎙🇬🇭 (@OleleSalvador) December 30, 2022
The organizers say until the crowd is brought under control, no music; no jams.
