At this point in our life as a country, one would have thought that many people would be taking all the necessary precautions against coming into contact with the deadly coronavirus disease that has already killed 5 people and infected 152 people in Ghana.

However, it seems many people have totally forgotten about all the safety tips that Ghana Health Service and other bodies that matter have offered in the form of education, after the president of the land, Nana Akufo-Addo announced some restrictions on Friday night.

From yesterday and today, many of the videos which have been captured in the various markets from areas that have been affected by the restrictions imposed have a lot of people go about their business as if nothing is at stake.

The traders and the people who have gone there to shop for the ‘lockdown’ have all flouted the rule about social distancing and all the other ones that have been talked about as ways people can adapt to avoid coming into contact with the disease.

This latest video from the Agbogbloshie market zionfelix.net has sighted is not different and at this point in time, I ask myself what went wrong.

I guess many people did not understand the president’s address on Friday, March 27, 2020.
