Songstress Sist Afia and Shatta Wale were seen together a lot when the former made her breakthrough onto the music scene.
At the time, there were even some speculations that they were a thing because they shared almost every musical stage together.

However, for some time now, they have not been seen hanging out together like they used to.
In an interview with Sammy Baah on Zylofon FM Tuesday morning, the “Weather” hitmaker finally revealed the reason why she has distanced herself from the Shatta Movement boss.

According to her, it was a move to make a name for herself in the music industry.
She told Sammy Baah “When I entered the industry, Shatta Wale gave me a lot of platforms; and I was all over him. He supported me but I wanted to be on my own. So I had to distance myself from him so people don’t see me as one of his militants. I am still very cool with him”.
