The organizers of the Wildaland Festival have explained why the 2022 edition was cancelled.

Earlier, they said in a statement that the event was called off due to circumstances beyond their control.

Speaking on Joy FM’s ‘Showbiz A-Z’ program, Sadiq Abudlai Abu, one of the brains behind the music and entertainment lifestyle festival laid bare what caused the cancellation.

According to him, the demands made by the Forestry Commission were not logical to them from where they sat as organizers.

He indicated that the commission’s demands were above what they budgeted.

Sadiq also denied claims that the event was not held as planned because they lacked funds.

The 3Newtworks founder stressed that the lack of cooperation on the side of the Forestry Commission was another factor.

The 2022 Wildaland Festival was to take place at the Shai Hills Forest Reserve.
