Ahead of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards, a lot of respected individuals in the music space, fans, and lovers of music were hugely torn between Stonebwoy and King Promise for the ultimate award on the night, Artist of the Year.

While Stonebwoy was eagerly hoping to bag the coveted title to enable him to secure bragging rights as the second artist in Ghana to be crowned Artist of the Year for the second time in the last 25 years of the scheme’s operations, King Promise was also hoping to break his virginity.

In the end, King Promise failed to beat the tough competition from Stonebwoy, even though he walked home with three awards, Afropop Song of the Year, Afrobeats/Afropop Artist of the Year, and Most Popular Song of the Year.

Following the success of Stonebwoy at the event that took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, a lot of people who spoke before the awards and declared their support for one artist or the other have been speaking.

One of the people who was very vocal and solidly behind Stonebwoy ahead of the TGMA big night was Sadiq Assah, popularly called Sleeky, who is the CEO of Sleeky Promotions.

Soon after the event ended, the award-winning promoter took to his social media pages to congratulate Stonebwoy and subtly troll King Promise.

In a post sighted on his Facebook page, he stated that the organizers and everyone else were aware that no one else but Stonebwoy was going to win the AOTY award because of the work he put in during the year under review, however, they urged King Promise on just so he would waste his votes.

Sleeky went on to urge the “Terminator” to keep on working hard and pray his time will come in the future.
