Award-winning Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Van Vicker has added another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career after graduating with a First Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana.
The celebrated actor, whose real name is Joseph Van Vicker, shared the exciting news with his followers on Instagram on June 19, 2026 with a post that reads:
“First Class Honours in LLB doesn’t automatically make me a better lawyer but what it does mean is: Academic Excellence, Strong Discipline & Work Ethic, Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills, Prestige & Recognition, Opportunities. Success in the profession depends on advocacy skills, emotional intelligence, and practical courtroom or advisory experience. Character & Integrity and Continuous Learning. First Class Honours is proof of academic mastery, not professional mastery. It’s a strong foundation, but becoming a great lawyer requires practice, mentorship, and character.”
Van Vicker’s latest academic feat is another milestone in an inspiring educational journey that has captured the admiration of many.
In 2021, at the age of 43, the actor earned his first university degree, graduating with First Class Honours in Strategic Communication from the African University College of Communications (AUCC).
He also emerged as the Best Student in Strategic Communication and Best Communication Student, achieving the feat more than two decades after completing senior high school.
The actor had previously revealed that financial challenges prevented him from pursuing tertiary education immediately after completing secondary school in 1997, making his eventual academic success even more inspiring.
He later obtained a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from AUCC before embarking on his legal education.
Van Vicker’s law journey began in early 2023 when he enrolled in the LLB programme at Wisconsin International University College. In January 2026, he announced the successful completion of his studies and expressed gratitude for reaching yet another educational milestone.
Over the years, Van Vicker has become a household name across Ghana, Nigeria and the wider African continent. Through his production company, Sky + Orange Productions, he has starred in, directed and produced numerous films, cementing his place among Africa’s most respected actors and filmmakers.
