A week of remembrance will be observed in Tema for the late Ghanaian actress Beverly Ama Afaglo, as her family and management step back from the spotlight and ask for privacy, prayers, and support while funeral plans take shape.

The gathering is set for Saturday, 30 May 2026, at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema, running from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is expected to draw family members, colleagues, friends, and admirers who will come together to honour her memory and reflect on her life and career.

The announcement came in a heartfelt statement issued on behalf of the family, Cine-God Studios, and her management team, confirming her passing and outlining the initial steps being taken to honour her.

Afaglo died in the early hours of Sunday, 24 May 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema. The statement indicated she passed away peacefully after a long struggle with cancer.

Her husband, Eugene Baah, known in music circles as Choirmaster and Praye Honeho of the group Praye, also confirmed her death in an emotional post on Instagram, a message that has since deepened the grief across the entertainment community.

The family says they are leaning on public prayers and understanding as they work through arrangements for her final rites, adding that more details on the funeral will be released later.

“We thank the public, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for their love, support, and understanding during this difficult period. May the Good Lord be our comfort and strength.”
