Afua Asantewaa Aduonum is rethinking her past views on love across borders.
In a video shared on Instagram, the Ghanaian media personality candidly admitted that long-distance relationships are not for her, despite previously believing otherwise.
“I used to think long-distance relationships are very easy. Those were the exact words I used to say some time back. I thought it wasn’t a big deal. You could be talking with your partner until I experienced it,” she said, reflecting on her experience after spending time in the U.S.
Afua’s change of heart comes after facing firsthand the emotional strain and disconnection that distance can introduce between partners.

“Let me ask: is it some sort of measure you guys follow or is it some divine strength that you guys have that enables you to stay apart for a long time? It is difficult,” she added.
Her reflections have sparked lively debate on social media, with many followers resonating with her view. Some commenters applauded her honesty, admitting they too struggle with maintaining romantic relationships over long distances. Others pushed back, arguing that commitment and mutual trust are key ingredients that can make such arrangements thrive.
