Renowned journalist, Nana Yaa Brefo has waded into the discussions going on social media about LGBTQ+ in Ghana following a recent remark President Akufo-Addo made during a presser with the Vice President of the USA, Kamala D. Harris when she arrived in Ghana on Monday, March 26, 2023.

The Angel Broadcasting Network in an interview she granted Nana Romeo on Accra FM said that the suggestion that it must be legalized in Ghana is completely needless.

She stressed that it was high time a president elected in Ghana will gather the courage and tell the supposed forces trying to get it legalized in the country to their faces that it will never happen because our culture is very different from theirs.

The co-host of Angel In The Morning on Angel TV/FM added that Ghana must as quickly as possible take the path the likes of Uganda have and pass a law to criminalize the act.

Nana Yaa Brefo went further to advise the people who engage in such acts to do so in the privacy of their homes if they feel that is what and not try to be public about it.

She added in a lot of homes there are many things that happen in people’s bedrooms, which might be more dangerous than what the people with LGBTQ+ are demanding but no one speaks about it because they have not seen it.
