Feli Nuna has shed light on troubling experiences she says she endured while working in Ghana’s music industry, describing moments that left her deeply unsettled and eventually contributed to her taking a break from her career.
Speaking in an interview with 3Music TV, the singer revisited a disturbing encounter in 2022 during promotional activities for her single ‘BumBum’. She explained that what was supposed to be a normal media stop in Accra turned uncomfortable in unexpected ways.
“I got sexually harassed when I went to one of the media houses in Accra for promotional engagements for my BumBum single. Someone I knew sexually harassed me,” she said.

Feli Nuna further described what she believes is a broader culture within the industry, one that she feels often sidelines talent in favour of inappropriate expectations placed on female artistes.
“I wasn’t valued for my skills and efforts. It was more about what they could achieve from me sexually,” she stated.
She also recalled another incident in the same year while promoting her song ‘Towel’, saying a confrontation with certain industry figures left her deeply unsettled.
“I had an altercation when I was promoting ‘Towel’ in 2022. I had three gatekeepers who told it was okay to sleep with your female artiste because she’s a woman,” she disclosed.
According to her, the weight of these repeated experiences eventually became overwhelming, forcing her to take a break from music. She noted that the pause was necessary to regain emotional balance and reflect before returning to her career.
