Flamebwoy stole the spotlight at the 2025 Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards (UEMA 25), emerging as the biggest winner of the night after clinching multiple awards, including the coveted Artiste of the Year title.
The celebrated act also secured wins for Digital Act of the Year, Album of the Year, HMB Most Popular Song of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, and Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, marking a dominant year in the Upper East music space.
Adding to the excitement, the Chief Executive Officer of Happy Man Bitters announced that Flamebwoy, as Artiste of the Year, will be sponsored for a media tour in Accra to expand his visibility and promote his craft on major platforms.
Other highlights from the night saw Highspirit Seg winning Afrobeatz Song of the Year, while Fasetwo picked up Best Video of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year. Obed Psych also impressed with two awards—Male Vocalist of the Year and Best Rap Performance of the Year.
Nambawan was awarded Hip Hop Song of the Year, with Gingsen taking Hip Hop Artiste of the Year. DJ Kings was named DJ of the Year, while DJ Smart earned Industry Person of the Year.
Emerging act Terminator won New Act of the Year, Ayizam secured Record of the Year, and Kimibeatz was honoured as Sound Producer of the Year. Phil Mak was named Gospel Artiste of the Year, while Jojo Iyel won Best Collaboration of the Year.
In the digital and media categories, Ambitious GH won Blogger of the Year, Ringdollar was crowned UE Influencer of the Year, and Quamiejay took home MC/Hypeman of the Year. Apodita emerged Female Vocalist of the Year, while Dream in Motion Dance Crew won Best Dance Performance.
Rekordz was named Northern Act of the Year, rounding off a night that celebrated the depth of talent and creativity within the Upper East Region.
The 2025 edition of the awards once again highlighted the region’s growing influence in Ghana’s music industry, with stakeholders hopeful that initiatives like the Accra media tour will open bigger doors for local artistes.
