The discussion surrounding the Global Citizen Festival, which came off at the Black Stars Square on Saturday, September 24, 2022, is not dying down anytime soon.

Despite being a very successful show, a lot of Ghanaians have been expressing their displeasure about the lineup of artists on the day.

For many of them, the organizers of the show could have given priority to Ghanaian musicians instead of bringing in a lot of Nigerian musicians.

Others have also expressed their frustration with the manner in which award-winning American musician, Usher introduced the Nigerian musicians who performed on the night when the same was not done for the Ghanaian acts.

Amid the talk online, popular Ghanaian promoter and artist manager, Sleeky, has also taken a bit of a swipe at Sarkodie.

In a post he made on his Facebook page, the boss of Sleeky Promotions stated that Sarkodie should have done more to hype his hype the Tema-based artist he started the whole rap movement with over a decade ago.

According to him, if Sarkodie had brought the likes of Stay J, D Cryme, and R2bee on the show and performed with them, his performance, which is been rated by many as one of the best on the night, would have been just excellent.
