While the boys were enrolled in school, the girls were given orders to cook.
It took vigorous advocacies from civil society organizations, NGO’s and others for this mindset to be changed.

Even now that a lot of girls are being enrolled in school, there are some individuals who think it is the role of women to cook.
In his latest song titled ‘Hasta La Vista’, renowned Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie stated that God did not create women to be in the kitchen.
