Veteran Ghanaian musician, Rex Omar has stated that he heard the name of Stormzy for the first time in Ghana through Yaw Tog.

Tog’s recent interview with MzGee on TV3 brought up a lot of debate and chastisement on social media.

Answering a question asked by the host, the ‘Sore’ hitmaker admitted that Stormzy made him more popular in this market but he also made him popular in Ghana.

Being in the trends, some people who did not see anything wrong with his comment jumped into his defence.

In a post sighted by Zionfelix.net, Rex Omar agreed with his statement.

He wrote: “The first ever time I heard of the name STORMZY in GH was through YAW TOG!”
