Currently, it has been confirmed by the Electoral Commission that Ghanaian actor John Setor Dumelo has lost out on the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency set to the incumbent MP, Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

After the coalition of 208 out of the 209 polling stations in the constituency, John Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manage to poll 37,778 votes while his major contender who eventually won, Maa Lydia polled 39,851 votes.

But most tweeps who could have sympathized with J. Melo as they have done throughout his campaign to become MP are currently trolling him because he apparently took to Twitter before the EC will present the final and certified results to suggest that he was winning the seat.

A tweet from John Dumelo that reads: “We are still waiting for the Electoral Commission to declare the final results. By the projection, I am in pole position to win when all the results are verified by the EC,” has seen many of his followers mock him even though some are proud of him.

Some of his followers wrote comments like: “It’s normal. We Dey laugh and we go laugh am saaaaaa. He is an actor. That’s what God has given him. He can’t be member of parliament“, “Did you honestly think you had a chance of winning? Am surprised by the numbers you pulled though but the consistency is so elite and above you, sorry. You’re an not fully baked for this”, “Mr dreamer, only one polling station left. Forget na you’ve lost” and many others too.
