Ghanaian Kumawood actress Louisa Adinkra has opened up about how her colleague Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin played a crucial role in helping her ice kenkey business thrive after a period of personal and professional hardship.

Louisa revealed that during her China importation business, she experienced three separate robberies, including one in which her warehouse was broken into and all her goods were stolen. The repeated losses left her feeling deeply distressed and pushed her to the brink of despair.

She credited Lilwin’s unwavering support during that difficult period as a turning point when speaking with ZionFelix. When she decided to venture into selling ice kenkey, his encouragement and assistance helped her rebuild her confidence and business.

Louisa explained that her brother had suggested she try selling ice kenkey, and she decided to take the idea seriously. She started by bringing samples to Kwadwo’s film set, initially giving them away for free to gauge interest. On her third visit, Lilwin bought all the samples and distributed them among the crew. He also introduced her to a business partner, who placed an order for 1,500 pieces, giving her venture the boost it needed.

She recounted that after her brother told her about the ice kenkey business, she took it seriously and first offered samples on Kwadwo’s set for free. It was on her third attempt that Kwadwo instructed her to sell to everyone and come back for the money. This sparked initial sales, but her major breakthrough came when a client, brought in through Kwadwo, tasted her ice kenkey and immediately placed an order for 1,500 pieces. That moment marked the start of her business’s growth and success.
