Amid the intense brouhaha, court battles and many others that characterised the days leading to the final funeral rites of highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, one sight has caught the attention of many netizens.

During the funeral that happened at the Heroes’ Park at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 13, 2025, the presence of his eldest son, Calvin Kwadwo Fosu has got many people applauding him.

Despite the decision by his mother, Akosua Serwaa, not to attend the funeral due to her ongoing legal battle over who is the legitimate spouse entitled to perform the widowhood rites, Calvin, together with his younger siblings including Charlyn Amasah Fosu, made an appearance at the funeral grounds.

Their presence, according to many sent the simple message that notwithstanding the disagreements surrounding the funeral, they as children were determined to give their father the respect he deserved in his final journey.

From videos seen online, from the very moment Daddy Lumba’s final remains were carried from the burial grounds, Calvin was seen actively assisting with the entire process.

He was seen maintain a great computer as he stayed close to his father’s remains and offering help wherever it was needed.

Calvin was also later spotted standing firmly by the horse-designed hearse used to convey Daddy Lumba to his final resting place.
