Remarks from Abeiku Santana, who also holds the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Ghana Tourism Authority, have reignited public discussion on gender roles and financial duties within relationships.
On Hitz FM during a recent on-air discussion, he anchored his perspective in scripture, suggesting that the expectation for men to provide is rooted in biblical history.
“If you read Genesis chapter one, after man disobeyed God, their punishment was that man would suffer,” he said.

He expanded on the idea by describing it as an enduring pattern between men and women.
“All men suffering, women enjoy it. Money was created for women. Men work for the money, but women enjoy it.”
He further argued that this financial arrangement is tied to peace in relationships, claiming that provision brings stability for men.
“When you give a woman, you would have your peace of mind,” Abeiku Santana further stated.
