Nana Appiah Mensah, the embattled C.E.O. of the defunct gold dealership firm, Menzgold, has provided an update about steps being taken to pay the over 46,000 customers the company owes via a letter he signed on Friday, August 18, 2023.

In the statement released, Nana Appiah Mensah directed the customers who have been enraged ever since their funds got locked up to purchase a GHC650 Menzgold Digital Verification Access Card to verify their transactions.

Portions of the statement sighted online by zionfelix.net reveal that this verification card will allow “customers who believe they have genuine indebtedness claims, to check their transaction status.”

The statement also added that customers who wish to claim their transactions must upload original colored soft copies of their transaction supporting documents from August 10th, 2023, to September 14th, 2023.

The company also indicated in the letter that they are undertaking this step because they have realized that it is the only way to verify the claims of people who have been alleging that they have their funds locked up with Menzgold. After all, “over sixty percent (60%) of the claims they have received were fraught with unacceptable infractions that invalidate the claims in question.”

The final bit of the statement was a caution to all the alleged customers of the company, indicating that those who fail to verify their claims will risk forfeiting their funds locked up with the company if indeed it is true.

The statement released has so far received a lot of hilarious reactions on social media, with many people suggesting that the company is trying to be smart to dupe people again.

Some people have suggested that if Menzgold is successful with this plan, they will end up racking in about 2.29 million Ghana cedis if all 46,000 customers buy the card.
