Popular Ghanaian actor Stephen Yaw Mawunyo, widely known in the entertainment space as Oteele, has offered some insight into why many Kumawood stars who publicly supported President John Dramani Mahama in the recent general elections are yet to be considered for political appointments.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ruthy of Sean City TV, Oteele expressed his belief that the key reason for this seeming sidelining of Kumawood actors is largely due to a lack of the appropriate educational qualifications required for such roles.

According to Oteele, while the contributions of Kumawood actors during the campaign season is undeniable, political appointments go beyond mere visibility and loyalty.

He further cited individuals like Abeiku Santana, Rex Omar, Kafui Danku, James Gardiner, and KOD, which are names that have  received various roles under the new administration as examples of personalities who not only supported the party but also possess the necessary credentials for the portfolios they have been given.

Oteele used the opportunity to advise his fellow Kumawood actors to prioritize their education if they hope to be considered for political roles in the future.
