Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has said the public image built around him does not reflect his real life. He indicated that the flashy lifestyle his followers see online creates a false picture of who he truly is.
Speaking with Andy Dosty on Joy Prime, he explained that many fans assume he is financially established simply because of what he posts. He insisted that those assumptions are inaccurate.
“People think I have money, but I don’t have anything. I am still upcoming,” he said, a comment that drew laughter from the host.
When asked about social media posts showing luxury cars and wealth, Medikal disclosed that the vehicles seen in his visuals are not his personal property. He said they are borrowed for creative projects.
He pointed out that the practice is widespread across the entertainment industry.

“Even Rick Ross and others, they borrow cars to shoot content,” he said.
Medikal also addressed another misconception, the belief that he is rude.
According to the AMG Beyond Kontrol artiste, his stage character and online persona should not be confused with his real-life behaviour. He shared that people who meet him in person are often surprised by how gentle and calm he is.
“You see movie actors like Rambo killing people, but in real life, they’re different people. In the same way, they shouldn’t attach my online personality to my personal life.
“I can compose a song and diss people, but that does not mean I’m rude in my personal life. That’s not how I am,” Medikal stated.
