Ghanaian actor and comedian Funny Face, known in private life as Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, has announced a new campaign aimed at educating students across the country about the dangers of drug abuse.

In a video shared online, Funny Face revealed that he and fellow actor Kwaku Manu are preparing to embark on a high school tour to share their personal experiences and caution young people against substance abuse.

Funny Face noted that the tour would be on a first come, first served basis and encouraged school authorities who are interested in having the team visit their schools to call a number provided in the video.

The initiative comes on the heels of Funny Face’s hard-fought recovery from serious mental health challenges, including depression and suicidal thoughts.

At several points in recent years, the comedian faced legal issues, psychiatric treatment, and periods of isolation, all linked to the overwhelming personal struggles he battled privately and publicly.

More details about the tour, including dates and the first batch of schools, are expected to be announced soon.
