President John Dramani Mahama was seen actively participating in church activities on Father’s Day, as he took up the role of Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the Men’s Ministry celebration at the Assemblies of God, Ringway Gospel Centre in Accra.

The event, held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, was part of the church’s annual Men’s Ministry programme.

The president who attends the church with his family, led proceedings in a vibrant and heartwarming ceremony that brought smiles and laughter to the congregants.

In a video shared on Instagram, President Mahama acknowledged the presence of key dignitaries, including the National President of the Men’s Ministry.

In a light-hearted moment, he humorously referred to the Men’s Ministry leader as “my president,” drawing laughter from the audience.

“I will do a few more acknowledgements. We have with us the National Men’s Ministry President. You see, I’m President, but this is my president,” Mahama joked.

Another video posted on Facebook showed Mahama cracking a joke that left the congregation in stitches. His smooth delivery and communication skills—honed from years in public service—kept the event lively and enjoyable.

The Father’s Day service was also graced by international boxing champion Anthony Joshua, who joined Mahama and other church members in the celebration.

The president, accompanied by some of his children, rounded off the event by distributing gift boxes to all congregants in honour of the occasion.

The gesture has widely been praised on social media, with many lauding President Mahama for his humility, service to the church, and dedication to family and community even outside the political sphere.
