A social media reaction from Vicky Zugah has added a fresh layer to the ongoing conversation sparked by Nikki Samonas’ candid interview about love, marriage and personal priorities.
The discussion began after Samonas appeared on Okay FM with Nana Romeo, where questions around marriage and childbirth once again took centre stage. Her responses, which pushed back against societal pressure to settle down, quickly gained traction online.
Zugah, weighing in on Instagram shortly after ZionFelix posted, appeared unimpressed with the recurring line of questioning. “Romeo always seems to be bothered about people without kids. Will you buy them baby food and diapers or you will baby sit and pay their fees? 🙄” she wrote, challenging the relevance of such expectations.
Her comment drew support from followers, including Instagram user @keziah_davis, who responded: “@vickyzugah my sister say again. Her in laws won’t even be feeding the kids for her… yet they’ll talk”
Zugah doubled down in a follow-up reply, signalling a broader shift in perspective around life choices. “@keziah_davis it’s time to move on from this question. This is 2026,Everyone’s priority is different.”
The exchange echoes sentiments raised by Samonas during her interview, where she made it clear that marriage and childbirth should not be treated as measures of personal success or fulfillment.

“Love is a verb; it is a doing word, an action word. But we don’t base our decision to get married on love alone. If you go on social media, there are a lot of beautiful couples, yet many of them are divorced.
“In the same way, I say giving birth shouldn’t be a yardstick to heaven, marriage isn’t a yardstick to heaven. I want my peace of mind,” she said.
Samonas also described dating as a positive experience, despite having no personal experience with marriage.
“I am in a relationship… dating is a very nice thing. I haven’t been married before, so I have no experience with marriage. But if you ask me, I can only speak about dating, and I will say it is a very nice thing.
“If I get married and come back here, then you can ask me the difference between marriage and dating,” Nikki Samonas added.
