Dancehall powerhouse, Stonebwoy, has once again set social media abuzz with a thought-provoking post condemning what he has described as a growing culture of “disrespect for cheap entertainment” online.
In his message, the ‘Not Again’ hitmaker expressed frustration over the tendency of some individuals to hide behind social media platforms to spew hate, ridicule, and negativity, often using such behaviour as a coping mechanism for their own misery.
He stressed that while many might laugh at such antics in the digital space, they remain completely unacceptable in real life.
Stonebwoy further reflected on his own career journey, pointing out that attempts to discredit him have persisted for more than a decade.
According to him, much of the hostility stems from the fact that he, “a boy from Ashaiman,” has managed to defy the odds and cement his place on the global music stage.
Touching on the psychological angle, the award-winning artiste suggested that those who constantly exhibit hostility online may be battling deeper mental health struggles. He warned that without self-awareness, such behaviour would only lead to regrettable outcomes.
