Mrs. Kate Opoku, Country Director of Let’s Do It Ghana, said the organisation was exploring alternative avenues aimed at complementing the government’s efforts of achieving a clean environment.

She said they sought to take the lead in effective waste management campaigns for a clean Ghana through volunteerism and community mobilization, awareness raising and education, partnership building, research and the utilization of sustainable waste management technologies including recycling.

“To achieve this, Let’s Do It Ghana carries out a number of activities including developing a waste map for Ghana; mobilizing volunteers to conduct clean-up exercises for improved sanitation across the country,” she said.
