The funeral date for the late Ghanaian highlife musician, Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada K.D, has officially been rescheduled, according to a new family announcement when they went TO Despite Media today, August 6, 2025.
This new announcement follows an earlier notice that indicated a state-assisted burial would be held on Saturday, 16th August 2025, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.
However, the new funeral arrangements announced by musician Kaakyire Kwame Appiah and other family members now confirm that the laying in state will take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025, still at the Forecourt of the State House, with the burial and final thanksgiving service moved to Sunday, 7th September 2025 at Agona Asamang in the Ashanti Region, rather than his previously stated hometown of Agona Asaaman in the Central Region.
The funeral is expected to attract dignitaries, musicians, industry players, and fans, reflecting the national recognition of Dada K.D’s contributions to Ghanaian music over the past three decades.
