Mr Drew has made an interesting statement about artistes being signed onto record labels.

In a recent interview, the former Highly Spiritual Music artiste said record labels are not doing artistes favours when they signed them.

The Ghanaian artiste argued that it is work and the record labels will have their share when they begin to make money.

“If somebody is on a label to work, it’s work. Don’t see it as the label is giving you the platform or the opportunity. You are there to work and when the money starts coming in, the label is going to take their cut. So, it’s not some sort of grace or favour they are rendering to you,” Elsie Lamar on GhanaWeb’s Talkertainment.

This comes after he parted ways with Kaywa’s Highly Spiritual Music.
