Following the death of Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, speculations over tension between his two wives have been firmly denied by his manager, Roman Fada.

In a video alongside both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, Fada, known in private life as Philip Kwabena Agyeman, addressed growing rumours on social media suggesting the women were at odds. Standing calmly beside them, he urged the public to ignore the gossip.

“My bosses, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, are here. Ignore the rumours on social media about the two of them fighting… Daddy Lumba was a man of peace… We are all for unity and peace,” he said.

Tensions among fans had been escalating online in recent weeks, largely fuelled by questions surrounding who would perform the customary widowhood rites. Debates occurred over which of the two women should be considered the “official” wife, further fanned by a recent family gathering where Roman Fada introduced both women, an act some interpreted as favouring Odo Broni over Akosua Serwaa.

Fada’s public intervention comes amid efforts to preserve unity and dignity as the family prepares to honour the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu. On August 2, 2025, a candlelight vigil was held in tribute to the icon, who passed away on July 26 following a brief illness.

The evening was marked by poignant tributes and emotional memories, reflecting the depth of Daddy Lumba’s influence on Ghana’s music and cultural landscape.
