The family of late highlife musician Dada KD has confirmed a new date for his final funeral rites, rescheduling the ceremony yet again after earlier postponements.
Initially planned for August 16, following a week-long observation, the funeral was shifted to September 6–7. That date, however, has now been moved.
At a press briefing, relatives announced that the state-assisted service will take place on September 20, 2025, at Ghana’s State House. After the ceremony, Dada KD’s remains will be transported to his hometown, Agona-Asamang, for burial.

Dada KD passed away on May 16, 2025, after a short illness.
