KiDi describes online trollers as sad people

KiDi has candidly addressed the emotional weight of online criticism and described social media trolls as “sad people” who often project their frustrations onto public figures.

In a revealing conversation on the Talk No Dey Cook Rice podcast hosted by Derick Elorm Ashilevi, the Lomo Lomo hitmaker offered insight into how he’s learned to shield himself from online negativity emotionally.

“Once I began to understand that I’ll never please everybody, life became easier,” KiDi shared. “Even if I give someone 1 million, they’ll ask why it wasn’t 2 million. Some people are just unhappy, they hate themselves and project that onto others.”

KiDi reflected on the often misplaced rage found on social platforms, recalling instances where he was attacked online for simply promoting his music.

“You come and post, ‘Hey, stream my music,’ and they’ll respond, ‘Look at this kwasia, why should I stream your music?’ It’s not personal. He’s angry inside about something happening in his personal life and is just projecting it onto me.”

The Touch It crooner, known for his introspective lyrics and infectious melodies, emphasised that developing empathy for such individuals—and realising that their comments are often not truly about him—has been key to maintaining peace of mind.

Kofi Mole’s Legal Team Demands Apology Over Drug Allegations In Viral Videos

0

Ghanaian rapper Edward Amoah, professionally known as Kofi Mole, has issued a formal legal notice through his lawyers demanding a public apology and retraction from several social media users and content creators, whom he accuses of spreading false and defamatory statements about him.

In a letter dated May 12, 2025, and signed by Afadjato Chambers, legal representatives for the rapper, the accused parties — including content creators operating under the handles @trouble_carlos6 (TikTok and YouTube), @1Bongoldeas- (X, formerly Twitter), and Amazing TV Ghana (YouTube) — were ordered to cease and desist from disseminating what the letter describes as “false, malicious, and defamatory allegations.”

According to the lawyers, the controversy stems from an interview conducted on May 7 by Elikem Aidam of KSS Media and posted on Aidam’s TikTok page as part of a promotion for Mole’s latest project, “B4 Da Album EP.” Portions of that interview were allegedly extracted and circulated online with fabricated claims suggesting the rapper was involved in the use or abuse of illegal drugs, including accusations of health complications arising from such use.

“These statements are wholly untrue, baseless, and without lawful justification,” the letter stated, further asserting that they were published “with the clear intent to injure the reputation of our Client and expose him to public ridicule, contempt, and disrepute.”

The legal team claims that the defamatory videos have already caused Kofi Mole significant emotional harm, damaged his professional reputation, and resulted in lost business opportunities both in Ghana and internationally.

As part of the formal demand, the rapper’s lawyers are requesting the following actions:

  • An immediate end to all further publication and circulation of the defamatory content;
  • A full retraction of the offending material on the same platforms it was posted;
  • A public apology to be issued weekly for eight consecutive weeks, beginning within seven days of the letter.

The letter closes with a warning that the rapper’s legal team has “firm instructions to exhaust all available legal remedies” should their demands not be met.

Renowned Ghanaian actor Koo Fori, whose legal name is Samuel Seth Kwabena Kyere Karikari, has entered a plea of not guilty to allegations of defrauding a Ghanaian national based in the United States out of $50,000.

His court appearance took place at the Dansoman Circuit Court on Monday, May 12, following his arrest by the Accra Central Police Command last Friday, May 9.

The actor, best known for his role in the Efiewura television series, faces a charge of defrauding by false pretence. He was granted bail set at ₵320,000, backed by three sureties, according to a report.

Law enforcement sources indicate that the funds were obtained from a Ghanaian living in California, under the guise of supporting what was described as a legitimate investment venture.

Reports suggest Koo Fori reneged on the agreement shortly after receiving the money, and then disappeared from contact.

After multiple unsuccessful attempts to retrieve the funds, the victim formally reported the matter to authorities.

Subsequent investigations uncovered that not only had the actor failed to repay the amount in question, but he also ignored a summons requiring his presence at the Dansoman District Court on April 17. His failure to comply led to the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest.
