Dancehall Artiste Ebony Never Completed SHS And Here’s Why

1

Fast rising female dancehall artiste Ebony after two years of studying at Methodist Girls’ SHS decided to say goodbye to school all because she wanted to focus on music.

The ‘Poison’ hitmaker has refuted claims that she was dismissed from school. Speaking to MzGee of Hitz FM, she asked Ghanaians never to believe any story that says authorities of her former school sacked her because of her bad behaviour.

Giving reasons why she left the school during her second year, Ebony disclosed that she convinced her father why he needed to allow her to start music and forgo school. According to the dancehall artiste, the thousand and one reasons she gave daddy years ago went into his good ears and that made him give her the go ahead to pack all her bags from Methodist Girls’ SHS and take music seriously.

She continued that most people attend school to gain knowledge and earn income so she has not regretted dropping out of school since music can fetch her income more than what school would have given her of she had continued.

“Why do we go to school? We go to school to be intellectuals and also to get an income and music can equally do the same things for me. If I’ll be going back to school then I’ll continue what I already know but not for income because music is already doing that.

I’ve never been dismissd from any school before. I was very stubborn but I was never sacked. I sat my dad down and told him this is what I wanted to do. I told him I want to do music and he understood me. He was like they have always known I was going to do music so they have no problem but I should promise them I will go back to school in future” Ebony told MzGee.

The Tema-based rapper in a conversation with Hitz FM’s MzGee giving reasons why he will always choose to date a woman older than him than go in for a young girl explained that he needs a matured person he can easily reason with. To him, he does not need a young lady he will use several hours to convince just to understand a simple matter.

“I think a matured person is more appropriate for me even if she is older than me. We have a lot of people who have older wives and are still happily together so it doesn’t matter. The level of where I am, I need a matured person that I can easily reason with because I don’t need a young lady I should convince for a long time.”

After Zionfelix.net uploaded Ohemaa’s performance on YouTube for the world to watch how things happened when she stormed Legon, many have shared divergent opinion on her outfit and performance. Few people who have watched the video are question why a gospel musician world wear such an outfit for a gospel show and deliver the kind of performance she exhibited on the night. These people think Mrs Mercy Twum-Ampofo should have not appeared at the event with the sneakers and trousers and deliver such energetic performance.

When those who think the ‘Aseda’ singer did something wrong were busily rebuking her, others were on the other side defending the gospel diva’s act on the night of the concert. To those defending the mother of three, Ohemaa did nothing wrong on the night but everything she wore was to help her craft.

I have started this new movement called Konnect, where I connect more with my fans. Recently when I went to the states, I gave a surprise visit to some of my fans at their home, work places, etc. I am giving my fans more of me because they play a huge role in my music success. I respect their support and love and I am giving myself some more time to really KONNECT with them – Bisa Kdei added.
